Made from sustainably sourced British Cedar wood and manufactured by Thorne in the UK, showcasing British craftsmanship at its finest. One of the most sustainable and eco friendly beehive available on the UK market. As this is made from British grown cedar, there will be small knots, splits and imperfections on the wood. This beehive is bottom bee spaced, single walled hive and is in use all over the British Isles. It is still the most popular by far, perhaps because one of the distinctive features of national beehives is the use of standard frame sizes, making it easier for beekeepers to interchange frames between hives.
